STORENGY

Storengy, an ENGIE subsidiary, is one of the world leaders in underground natural gas storage. The company has 21 sites in France, Germany and the United Kingdom. With 70 years of experience in exploring and exploiting the subsoil, it is working to transform its storage facilities to accommodate 100% renewable gases and is mobilising its skills to develop hydrogen storage infrastructures. Its local roots enable Storengy to take concrete action on environmental, economic and social issues, for the benefit of local communities. Storengy also applies its expertise to industrial and energy storage projects in France and abroad.

In 70 years, STORENGY has designed and operated 60 salts caverns. The team offers global expertise (design, drilling, production, operation) in the field of Mining Solutions and provides services throughout the life cycle of a salt cavern.
In addition, STORENGY has also a wide range of skills in surface engineering, enabling it to carry out feasibility studies, operation and maintenance operations, civil and electrical engineering works.

FrHyGe 

FrHyGe is dedicated to validating large-scale underground hydrogen storage in salt caverns. Launched on March 20, 2024, this innovative project is led by a European consortium of 17 partners and coordinated by Storengy.
